Free sunrise-to-sunset hiking and birding through pine flatwoods and cypress in Jupiter Farms.
Cypress Creek Natural Area protects more than 2,000 acres of pine flatwoods, wet prairie, hydric hammock, and cypress near the Loxahatchee's headwaters in Jupiter Farms. Free hiking, equestrian, and paddling trails plus an observation tower and boardwalk make for excellent birding and a peaceful, Old Florida escape. A marked northeast trail leads about 1.9 miles to a tower over restored wetlands, and the area connects to the broader Loxahatchee/Cypress Creek wilderness near Riverbend Park.
Free, quiet, and good for a morning hike.
