Jupiter Beach Park

Jupiter

Compiled & edited by Kyle Romero

The guarded beach right at the Jupiter Inlet — sand, snorkeling, and a fishing jetty.

Jupiter Beach Park sits on the south side of the Jupiter Inlet, with about 1,700 feet of guarded sand staffed by Palm Beach County Ocean Rescue. It's the closest beach to the lighthouse and the most useful one to know: picnic areas with charcoal grills, restrooms, outdoor showers, a sand volleyball court, and a jetty where people fish the inlet around the clock.

The rocks near the inlet draw snorkelers on calm days, and parking is free.

Before you go

  • Free parking and free admission — lots are right off Jupiter Beach Road.
  • Guarded by Palm Beach County Ocean Rescue whenever a condition flag is flying.
  • Park hours are sunrise to sunset, but the inlet jetty stays open for fishing 24 hours — the only place around you can legally cast a line at 3am.
  • Don't swim beside the jetty. Persistent rip currents run alongside structures like that and the inlet current moves — stay down by the towers.
  • Restrooms, outdoor showers, picnic areas with charcoal grills, and a sand volleyball court.
  • The picnic island and Jupiter Beach Pavilion are closed until the access bridge is replaced — call the county before planning a group day.
  • This is the beach that gets the sand: the Jupiter Inlet District pumped roughly 176,000 cubic yards onto this stretch between January and April 2026, so it's fresh right now.
