Before you go

• Free parking and free admission; usually easier than Jupiter's bigger beaches — but it's also where people land when Blowing Rocks fills up.
• Open sunrise to sunset, with only about 600 feet of the oceanfront guarded. Swim in front of the tower, not wherever you parked.
• Water shoes are not optional — the limestone edges are sharp. The dark crust on top of the rock is living worm reef: walk around it, not on it.
• Snorkeling is a forecast decision, not a calendar one. You want a flat, calm day — and the fish hold outside the cove against the rocks, not inside it.
• Low tide is the move if you came for the geology: tide pools, arches and wave-cut shapes open up.
• No concession — bring food and water. There are charcoal grills, picnic areas, restrooms and outdoor showers.
