Downtown at the Gardens is an open-air lifestyle center mixing shops, restaurants, and entertainment — including CMX Cinemas, a classic lakeside carousel, and a regular calendar of live music and events. Dining runs from Grimaldi's and Pura Vida to Sweetgreen, Van Leeuwen ice cream, and Subculture Coffee, with Whole Foods, REI, and Life Time Fitness on site. The carousel ($5 a ride, or 5 rides for $20) spins along the waterfront and is a hit with kids.
Walkable, lively, and good for dinner-and-a-stroll.
