An intimate little French bistro and wine bar for an unhurried, candlelit dinner.
A snug French brasserie and wine bar where the lights are low, the banquettes are leather, and the list runs deep, 30 wines by the glass from France, Washington, and California. The kitchen does French classics with a modern hand: steamed mussels in white-wine shallot broth with crusty bread (the dish reviewers rave about), rack of lamb, branzino, escargot, and a properly cooked filet. Order a cognac old fashioned or pear martini, reserve a table, and take your time. It's the kind of quiet, grown-up room that makes date night feel like an occasion.

- What to order: the mussels (white-wine or chorizo), French onion soup, escargot, rack of lamb, branzino, and the filet; cognac old fashioned or pear martini at the bar.
