A warm, family-run Italian room on Indiantown Road for an unhurried, reservation-worthy dinner.
The kind of neighborhood Italian where the pasta tastes like someone's grandmother is in the back and nobody rushes you out — and there's a story behind that. Chef Michael Rolchigo named the place for his grandmother Lena Bello (tavolo, Italian for table, plus Lena), and he still greets tables himself. Start with the fried calamari or burrata, then go for the chicken or veal riggies, gnocchi, or the stuffed veal chop; finish with the cannoli. If you can get a seat, the Sunday Italian Feast has a real following. Quiet, intimate, and dinner-only — call ahead, especially for four or more.
